The Council’s planning function is supported by a Plans Committee responsible for the regulatory responsibilities of the Council including development control, enforcement and the Council’s tree preservation system.
The Plans Committee also provide assistance to constituents where appropriate, by advising them to seek pre-application advice and guidance from the Council’s Development Control and Policy Sections.
From the 7 May 2021, the law requires all councils to hold formal meetings in person. The Council is also required to follow Government guidance and ensure that all venues used are Covid secure and that all appropriate measures are put in place.
Members of the public will be able to attend the meeting in person if they are registered to speak under public participation.
